Aug 2006 - Gwent Police. Installation of ANPR along the M4
Following on from the award of the contract for fixed ANPR solutions to Genesis (UK) Limited by the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary, Gwent Police became the first force to take advantage of the simplified procurement process. A new design of purpose made camera enables number plates to be read in all lighting conditions across the multiple lanes of the M4 at speeds much higher than the legal maximum.

Devon & Cornwall Constabulary ANPR Framework Agreement
We are proud to have been selected by the Devon & Cornwall Constabulary consortium of South West Police Forces to supply ANPR solutions for fixed applications. Both new dedicated fixed cameras and our own Shark ANPR software have been specified as well as the activation of existing public space CCTV cameras for ANPR purposes. This contract enables any Police Force who may need this technology to procure the equipment and expertise without the need for further tendering.
Sept 2005 - Genesis wins Surrey Police Contract
Surrey Police have selected Genesis to supply their in vehicle ANPR systems. This is a three-year contract and it was won after the careful evaluation of ANPR systems available in the market. The Genesis Shark system was selected because of its accuracy, ease of use and it’s proven track record with other police forces.
October 2005 – Genesis wins Thames Valley Police Framework Contract
Despite stiff competition Genesis have been awarded a three-year open framework contract to supply ANPR to Thames Valley Police. Thames Valley Police carried out a through investigation of ANPR products available in the market and chose the Genesis Shark system. This contract also allows other Police forces to buy Genesis ANPR systems without the need to go through the same tender process.
New “BigFish” released
BigFish is our back office (BOF) web based server that brings a new degree of user friendliness and functionality to databases, large control systems and storage. Our latest BigFish release is now in use in a number of City centre ANPR systems installed by Genesis. Capable of communicating with Spectrum2 Back Offices supplied by Anite PLC, BigFish brings a new dimension to operator friendliness and usability. BigFish can be used as the central hub for any ANPR reader thus ensuring maximum flexibility. Once again Genesis is in the forefront of developing technology with a world class product.
The latest BigFish includes our unique WolfPack technology, that delivers live information, as it happens, direct to the user. From a standard web browser, BigFish allows the user to react to live ANPR alerts the instant they occur, as well as view incoming feeds from any connected camera. Hampshire Constabulary
Genesis is pleased to have been awarded the contract to supply ANPR systems to Hampshire Constabulary. This was awarded after the force examined other suppliers and concluded that Genesis was by far the best option with our overall technical solution, the superior reading capability of our ANPR engine and that we are the number one integrator of ANPR systems
Warwickshire Constabulary
Genesis is pleased to have been awarded the contract to supply and fit integrated ANPR systems to Warwickshire Constabularies vehicles.
Isle of Wight
Genesis is pleased to have been chosen to supply and install ANPR systems for the ports on the Isle of Wight .
Gwent Police
Genesis is pleased to have been given the status of preferred supplier of ANPR Systems by Gwent Police.
Preston
Genesis has recently replaced a neural network ANPR system in Preston, with a state of the art Shark ANPR and BigFish system. Feedback from the users so far is very favourable. It’s the first time I have seen a system read number plates with that degree of accuracy and efficiency”.

Shark Forecourt Alert
Genesis is pleased to be the preferred supplier and installer of Petrol forecourt ANPR systems to a number of blue chip oil companies and supermarkets. This status is in recognition of the pioneering work carried out in the area of drive off (Bilking) prevention. We were the first to design, in partnership with a major UK Police force, a fully integrated system utilising a Police supplied and maintained database to be made available to petrol forecourt systems. Genesis development director Nick Harris announced “It is most gratifying that the quality of our solution is still recognised as the best in the market”.
Genesis the Complete Solution
Genesis is well known for the quality of their vehicle fits and as far as we know the only ANPR supplier that fit vehicle systems in house with thier own staff. Genesis is now able to offer a complete service to Police forces of striping vehicles and installing blues and twos etc. We have already completed a number of vehicles for a national UK Police force. The vehicles were delivered to Genesis directly from the vehicle supplier and then delivered by Genesis to the customer ready for use.
